What does this car say about you?

I think if it could speak, my lovely car would say "Hey, look at me, I'm alive, buzzing and got me a caring owner who truly respects and appreciates how much fun it is to drive a sporty car without thrashing me and sending me to my doom".

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My friends and family think I am very lucky to have found such a cool car. My son absolutely loves it. Now inspired him to learn to drive!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely, my experience so far has been fantastic and it will only get better as far as I can see.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I purchased my car from eBay, so bid what I felt was a good price for it. I had already spent a lot of time researching what kinds of things to look for and read different helpful information on car forums. Getting a low mileage car, 55000 with leather interior and immaculate condition was a fantastic bargain.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I love sports cars and had done research on MG TFs. The head gasket had been replaced and it had also had a new gearbox, so with low mileage too, it seemed a perfect option for the summer. Could not afford to buy a X1/9, which was the best car I ever had back in the late 1980s.

What was the dealer like?

I did not know that I was actually buying from a dealer as I won the car on eBay and the car was being sold by the dealer's partner. Nevertheless, I was collected by the dealer at a railway station local to him and was taken to see the car and look at all the paperwork, manual etc. I knew the car had been formerly owned by a doctor and had been traded in for a newer car. Seeing the receipts for the head gasket and gearbox and the regular service history, I felt sure that the car was an excellent buy. Driving it home, I was delighted. Not only did it sound great, it responded beautifully and made me feel that I was driving a new car. Absolutely delighted with it.

What's it like to drive?

It is great to drive as the 5 speed manual gearbox is chunky, compact and incredibly responsive. Takes any hill in its stride, but I like to use the gears as they are supposed to be used instead of pushing the car to its limits. That is what I call "respect" for the engine and gearbox!

What's it like to park?

Piece of cake to park. Power steering makes it very easy. Rear wheel drive, so I always reverse into spaces. Adequate vision from rear screen, but will be even simpler when the roof is off. Hey, we have wing mirrors too, so if you KNOW how to drive, you have these handy little appendages to give you an extra hand!

Have you had any problems with the car?

I have only had the car for a few days, so I am pleased to say that nothing has gone wrong as I certainly would not expect it to!

What's most practical about your car?

The boot is bigger than I expected and perfectly adequate for my weekly grocery shopping. The car's dashboard is beautifully laid out and not only looks pretty, but has everything in easily accessible positions.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Love the CD / stereo with bluetooth options, which means if I want to play some of my favourite play lists from my phone, I can do so.
