To replace my MGF Steptronic which developed a rattle from the gearbox just 1 week before I was due to go on a 4,500 mile trip around europe and I was unable to get it fixed in time

Very helpful and seemed very upfront with details about car. Also due to my lack of time (4days to trip) made effort to complete transaction and get car on road in just 1 day

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
My longest trip in 1 day on the trip was 624 miles and took 14 hours and still got out with no back or bottom ache and pitched a tent. I was to be honest surprised at how comfortable through out the trip the car was. Motorway cruising was effortless. Although the car pulls well at low speed in a high gear getting revs above 3,000 rpm gives best acceleration. Of course the hair pin bends of the Alpine roads was were it was most fun with its fantastic balanced road holding.
What's it like to park?
I have found it no problem to park

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
During the 4,500 mile trip around Europe driving on many types of road, over the Alps and Pyrenees and temperatures ranging from 12c to 45c in Southern Spain. A number of trips where over 500 miles much of which was done at max motorway speed. 2 faults accured 1 the throttle plaid up for about 200 miles sticking but cleared and never come back. 2 The brakes developed a VERY load squeal over the Alps due to a broken anti-rattle shim touching brake disk which was easy fix.
What's most practical about your car?
Surprisingly more practical than you would think. I got all my camping gear and luggage in for 2(had to leave spare)and use a rack but despite all that weighing around 60kilos it didn't seem to bother the car's handling
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The easy to use hood of course
