Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I was looking for a modern MG sports car as I had owned a MGB GT in my 20's.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 160 offers strong acceleration to 60 in under 7 seconds and really takes off at 4000 revs. Good road grip with the engine over the rear wheels but you need to be careful in the wet. Its noisy and a little unrefined - if you want refinement buy an MX5 but if you want some fun buy an MG TF.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The head gasket went but then they always do! But contrary to the comment in the Parkers review, if it is repaired properly by someone who knows what they are doing then it should be fixed for good. Other than that it has been 100% reliable but you need to be prepared to get your hands dirty.
What's most practical about your car?
Relatively cheap to buy second hand and to keep on the road. Good fuel economy if driven sensibly (but why buy one to drive sensibly). Good supply of second hand parts. The MG community remains strong.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
On mine it is the 160 engine. With a remap it will rev to the max all day. Great on track!
