  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

As standard, the car doesn't offer a lot, but all extras are nicely priced with a fully kitted-out car very nicely priced.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Due to the slight engine tweaks on the March 2003 models, the ZRs love to visit the petrol stations regularly.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

The drive is amazing and holds the road, although the fact that the ZR has rear drums lets down the braking time and drive.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Even the smaller engines such as the 1.4 can keep up with and beat a lot. It compares nicely to 1.6s such as the Saxo VTR. The post-2003 March models can be driven hard and are responsive.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    1 out of 5 1.0

    Too early to comment.

With the + models having a full bodykit, it is very appealing with the 17" alloys adding the little extra that the already in-your-face exterior has to offer.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

With the part-leather seats, the car is a very nice ride, with their bucket style and lumbar support it is a very nice ride, although due to the suspension being harder, it can be an issue.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

The security system is good although the remote needs to be vey close for it to work, although without the remote and just key the car will not start as an extra security measure.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Found them very helpful when buying the car, but if any problems arose, they seemed to not exist. MG's aftersales I found was appaling.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Other

The interiors seemed to be a bit flimsy, with a loose door handle and door pannel problem.
