Economy
Value
One of the last of the Mk 1 variants, comes with Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser,ABS, Remote Locking, Kenwood ICE etc - incredible value and spec for price.
Costs
Stands me at nothing beyond a few extras I have since added.

On the road
Driving
Handles like it is on rails, good on fuel, ABS is good, Good all round visibilty, Used by me as a learner instruction vehicle.Very easy to drive for new drivers and experienced drivers alike. Very good all round visibilty makes it easy to park or reverse.
Performance
1.4 engine is very lively and economical, need revving to make really swift acceleration, but the car is very forgiving if an incorrect gear is selected by one of my learners.

Living with it
Reliability
A few minor niggles, all very quickly sorted under warranty. All cars have problems, all you can ask is that your dealer sorts them properly and quickly. Dixon Barnsley have done that every time for me.
Image
I love the looks of the ZR, sporty, but big enough to do a family shop without bother. Getting new pupils for the driving school is not a problem when they know what vehicle they will be learning in.
Comfort
Could do with a lumber support, especially for the drivers seat, but at the price, I can't really complain.

Security and Service
Security
4 Model - Cat 1 Alarm/Immobiliser, Deadlocking, face off stereo as standard. Visible VIN Number from outside car - what more do you need?
Service
Purchased from Dixon Rover, to date I couldn't ask for swifter service. All minor warranty problems sorted lightning fast, only niggle was no courtesy car available.
