Economy
Value
Got a bargain by buying after MG Rover's demise. Extra goodies on mine include aircon, passenger airbag colour coded seats. Can't get anything similar from another manufacturer with the same spec/age/condition.
Costs
DIY servicing and parts costs and availability are great. MPG around 40 with how I drive it, around 5MPG better with BP Ultimate.

On the road
Driving
Excellent. Feels like a proper little sports car. Slightly under-servoed brakes.
Performance
Quite nippy, lacks top end over 100mph due to gearing. Remap coming soon hopefully to give a decent improvement.

Living with it
Reliability
Engine / mechanicals strong, but lots of niggly problems - window regulator died, split intercooler pipe, sunroof misalignment, the odd bulb, annoying dashboard rattle. Think mine's had more problems than most.
Image
Pretty good, a bit boy racer but I don't mind. Got mine in metallic black as I couldn't live with the common red/yellows that are too lurid when combined with the bodykit.
Comfort
No issues, my sensitive back like the seats which have lumbar support adjustment.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm/immobiliser, no volumetric sensors as on ZR160 model, but these can cause false alarms so not bothered. Got a Disklok for the wheel which used if parking in dodgy areas.
Service
Local ex-Rover dealer (Ottershaw) give great service, even hand delivered a washer to my work when they didn't have it in stock when I went to collect, due to an error.
