I’ve loved this car from day one. It’s a mg which is based on a rover so I didn’t expect it to be a Jennifer Anniston or cars.
I still run the car to this day and although the mod cons are not there I still love the car like a child. It still holds its own on the road unless it’s wet then the complete lack of traction control causes a lot of wheel spin though most gears if you drop the clutch to quick and keep pushing.
Overall it meets requirements of a 16 year hot hatch. Noise, speed and looking a T**t
How reliable do you find the car?
Engine blew up once but it was down to me putting to much power so not the cars fault . I was able to rebuild the engine myself so can’t say about the true repair bill for this.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I was 19 and had a 160bhp hot hatch when my friends had a 1.2 corsa and the other a 1.25 fiesta. I was like a dog with 3 d**ks
