In their own words
I bought a Trophy Connect Long Range with 1500 miles, £7k below list. I bought after having a petrol ZS as a hire car and other than the appalling engine, being very impressed with it.
Overall I really like the car. The electric drivetrain is superb (hard to believe it's only 154hp) although being FWD is not ideal. It's a light car and pretty agile for an SUV. The interior is very much traditional SUV (which I like) rather than some of the funky buttonless interiors you see nowadays. Range is 180-200 miles in the winter but closer to 250 in the summer.
The worst part of the car is the infotainment system which quite simply has a mind of it's own. Sometimes the radio comes on when you start the car, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it goes to night mode in the dark, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes the phone connects, sometimes it doesn't. You get the picture. With that the driving aids are similarly peculiar. The emergency braking warning often comes on even if you're crawling towards a car. The adaptive cruise is good in a straight line but anything slightly off straight the car thinks it's doing you a favour by slowing down.
However I would recommend this car, it's a cracking family SUV that really doesn't cost a lot of money and as long as you charge at home will save you £££'s in fuel.
