Economy
Value
Stonking performance for the money I paid for it, only standard levels of refinement I'm afraid, the Germans have it here.
Costs
Servicing and parts cost not too bad, the V6 is thirsty. I find 250 miles per tank when having fun, 300 when driving like a grown up.

On the road
Driving
This is a lovely car to drive, the V6 tackles everything thrown at it with ease and the ZS is electrifying through the twisty stuff.
Performance
This car DOES embarrass bigger badges, 3500 RPM and wow. Through the gears the ZS180 is very quick and pulls to 7000rpm like a train. The brakes are good too.

Living with it
Reliability
Proven mechanicals being an older design, so far it has been excellent. Time will tell of course, because new rattles and noises do appear from time to time.
Image
Badge snobs would stay away I suppose, but I love how the car looks very sleek, especially with the big boot spoiler. I've had comments from BMW drivers of ""it's only a Rover"" but I have the last laugh on the dual carriageway away from work.
Comfort
The car does feel solid actually, and the bucket seats are excellent. The road noise on the motorway is bad and the ride around town the ride can be a little harsh but I didn't buy it to be a Jag.

Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm and immobiliser and it's still on the drive every morning I suppose.
Service
Dealer keen to help, but I find the overall service on the slow side.

Clutch is very stiff when warm, I suspect a developing fault with the master cylinder which is a comment fault so I've heard.
