Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think it says I earn more money than I really do! It looks really expensive, a colleague saw it in the car park at work and said, "someone's getting paid too much"
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all like it and say it's a very nice looking car. You have to put up with the odd person saying, "It's a Rover 45" and "Why did you buy a car from a company that's gone bust?" but other than that everyone seems to like it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, you don't see many of them around (especially the new shape) and it's nice to be a bit different. It's also great to drive and looks superb.
What are you likely to buy next?
I'd like the ZS180 as it's faster and has climate control or a BMW 320 diesel.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£9,995
When did you buy the car?
October 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Paid a reasonable price but got no money off and minimum value on my part exchange.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I liked the body kit, the fact it was an aggressive looking saloon and I liked the alloys.
What was the dealer like?
Useless, failed to return calls and wasn't very helpful or friendly throughout. Promised full tank of fuel and car mats which wasn't done when i picked the car up so had to wait around while this was sorted. Also high level brake light had one LED broken but luckily they replaced it FOC.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handles brilliantly, I had a saxo VTS before and was amazed how well the ZS held the road it was about the same as the Saxo despite being twice the size!
What's it like to park?
Not too bad, I don't have the large rear spoiler though (thanks to the wife) so the view behind is very good.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The laquer is peeling of some of the alloys (not covered under my extended warranty) the fuel filter leaked (not covered under my extended warranty). The cable from the gear box to the reversing lights was getting caught in the clutch and blowing a fuse meaning the car would start (took a week for rover to sort out but thankfully was covered under warranty after I made a fuss). Dispite all this I still love it to bits!
What's most practical about your car?
Massive boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Remote boot opening. The body kit and wheels look awesome and i like the silver air vents in the cabin.
