This car very nearly got a five-star rating when it was crash-tested by Euro NCAP. However side airbags were optional, not standard and it gained four stars – still a very respectable score. Good security equipment – joy riders may like the look but they won’t get a spin in one unless you leave them the keys.

This a useable estate with a large load area; the seats split and fold for extra room, too. The split-opening tailgate allows you access the rear quickly. Interior storage includes glovebox, centre console storage and seatback pockets.
