-
Economy
Value
£23k seems a lot for a basic car.
Costs
30mpg from a diesel does not seem too good.
-
On the road
Driving
Good handling in the dry and great brakes. Can be quite harsh on the motorway, the interior mirror is always blurred which suggests a lot of vibration comes through.
Performance
Disappointing for an MG, 0-60 in 11 seconds is very slow by today's standards. Not a good car for overtaking - cheap auto box, no tiptronic function like a cheap Honda Accord has as standard.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Ok. Remote control for radio packed up.
Image
Not a snob mobile like a BM or Merc.
Comfort
Great seats. The car is basic inside though, no driver vanity mirror, no lights on astray, no boot light, very cheap CD / radio, no trip computer etc. My wife's Punto has sat nav, traction control, trip computer and sunroof - none of this on the MG.

Security and Service
Security
No idea.
Service
All car dealers are rubbish, so no difference. They usually manage to fix 50% of reported faults and and add a few more.
