Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely not. The build quality is very disappointing for a German car. The trim is starting to come off in parts after only 1 year and plenty of faults. Looking to trade in soon.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got the TLC service pack FOC which was only because I had terrible service from 2 other BMW dealers in my area before I went to this one. Discounts from MINI are non existent.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Always liked MINI's but never practical with dog until Clubman. Also wanted something cheap on fuel but good for motorway driving

What was the dealer like?

The one I eventually went to was faultless but not the nearest to home. The two nearest ones were awful; disinterested in my business and bad at getting back to me on finance

What's it like to drive?

Generally good, nippy and excellent cornering EXCEPT if you drive over a manhole cover or pot hole whilst going round a corner and the front of the car swerves violently. This is a known issue with the MINI and I have nearly had an accident on a few occasions.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Plenty. The boot handle needed replacing as the door kept opening itself as soon as I pulled away, sometimes over and over again. The 12V socket in the boot collapsed into the side panel and needed replacing. The suicide door keeps sticking and won't open at times. The electrics have a mind of their own - strange messages on dash, clock suddenly reseting to 0:00, windows closing by themselves. The electric folding door mirrors never complete the folding movement and takes two or more attempts to fold them in/out. The electric windows are constantly covered on the inside by a greasy film which I believe to be salt in the door cavity but despite a number of visits to the dealer it is still not fixed. What's most practical about your car?

Suicide door (when it opens) is good for access. Auto wipers and lights very handy (optional extra). Space under boot floor handy too.

You can choose interior lights colour from blue, orange pink or purple.
