MINI Clubman (2007 - 2014) 1.6 D Cooper 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I wanted something fun to drive affordable to drive with a bit of practicality thrown in and the Cooper Clubman fits the bill nicely. It looks cool and I like all the gadgets like hill start assist which is great in town saving me having to use the handbrake all the time. Its great to throw about down a country lane and cruising on the motorway it will do 60mpg. But it's not all good the most annoying thing is the rear view mirror at 6'1" tall it's directly in my line of vision when I look left so I'm constantly having to look under or around it to see whats coming from the left and whats more you can barely see anything out of it to rear due to split rear doors (which I like) and rear seat head restraints. Next is the little rear access door although I like this WHY is it only on the drivers side? Yes I know it's on the correct side for everyone else other than the UK but I saw a picture of one in Japan (who drive on same side of road as us) and that door was on the left side not the right so why is the UK one on the right????? Well to sum up the car is fun drive, practical and cheap to run (I even found the insurance was much cheaper than expected)
How reliable do you find the car?
Had an oil leak from crankshaft pully oil seal when I brought it but garage fixed it and replaced cambelt but they didn't fit the engine under tray properly which come off on the motorway at speed which was not funny but can't blame car for thatDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
Drives much like the old Mini so please about that. performance and economy is good to. Also surprisingly cheap to insureAbout their car
