MINI Clubman (2015 - 2024) One City Classic Steptronic with double clutch auto 6d Owner Review

In their own words
We have had the car 7 months now and covered just over 2000 miles. It has been 100% reliable but then again it hasn’t been used that much as I haven’t really gelled with it and have more often than not chosen to use my old car which the Mini was supposed to replace as our main vehicle. I rate the car very highly in terms of passenger comfort, style, quality of design and build quality. However I am disappointed with the driving experience. The handling is great, but the car feels a bit lacking in terms of power delivery. On paper the performance was supposed to be the same as my previous car (a humble Dacia Logan 0.9TCE), but whilst with the Dacia if you put your foot down, the turbo kicks in and the car really accelerates well, the mini feels really sluggish by comparison. The power is adequate for normal driving, but it doesn't feel like a driver's car. I was expecting the mini to be a step up in terms of driving experience from the Dacia, but this is not the case. I would still recommend a 1.5 litre mini clubman to someone who wasn't particularly interested in driving but I think the 3 cylinder engine is a bit lacking for such a heavy car.
