MINI Convertible (2004 - 2008) 1.6 Cooper 2d Owner Review

Great body work, looked the part. Shame the engine didn't match. Constant problems. Had the car 1 1/2 years got through 6 tyres at £120 a pop. A spark plug fired out the engine. Could prove it was from the service at kwik fit. £480 repair,. Took to Halfords after (didn't trust kwik fit - needed new spark plugs as it was misfiring £240. Then it needed a new engine seal and air filters etc £180. Then the oil light came on... then engine death... Paid £3000 could only get £600 px as the engine completely broken and knocking. Or spend £5,500 on a reconditioned engine. So miss money pit went to her grave. Don't do it. A Positive it had a tape player and fun taking the roof down. Speedy little beast, great doing local miles. Motor driving noisy. Not the most comfortable of cars. Nice interior But did have an Alfa 147 before. (much better care tbf). As my mother would say red hat no knickers!
