Summary
What does this car say about you?
Like a bit of fun, but haven't forgotten about the kids, having seats in the back.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family thought i was mad, until they actually seen it, then they all fell in love with it. Neighbours definitely jealous as they think its so cute and they want one.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Would be tempted by the later version that has six speed gearbox and the fancy ignition start button.
What are you likely to buy next?
Ummh, good question! Maybe if the kids get really tall, then may change to a larger four seater convertible Audi A4 possibly, but if kids are moving out by the time i'm thinking of changing then got to go for a two seater convertible, probably a Mazda MX5. In essence i would like to keep the Mini going to the stage where it becomes a classic and just treasure it - my little pride and joy!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic. When your in fifth gear and cruising along at 50mph there's so much more power at your disposal if it's required - it just goes! TIP! Stick to 15" or 16" wheels - mine came with 17" runflats which made it a harsh ride, i got some 15" tyres and wow such a comfortable ride from then on.
What's it like to park?
Rear view restricted, but once you're used to the parking sensors that come as standard, its easy to park up.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Strange rattle started a week after getting it, dealer had it looked at and couldn't find anything wrong. I researched on internet and found that it was the anti-roll bar bushes were worn. Had to spend some time adjusting the convertible roof seals to stop leaks, its now watertight. Inner wear on rear tyres, found that the adjustable cambers needed set.
What's most practical about your car?
Still reasonably economical and can fit the kids in the back as well as it has four seats. Not many little sporty convertibles can boast that.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Obviously the roof - roll back sunroof style then full drop down on glorious days. Can even keep roof up but lower windows which works really well being pillarless doors.
