Summary
What does this car say about you?
Its a Girls Car & probably says a lot about the Girl, sophisticated, classy & fun loving.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone loves it
Would you buy this car again and why?
We'll see what the new one's like, don't particularly like the new Mini, as BMW have taken all the charecter out of the Car & it looks like a Nissan Micra.. lets hope the new one is more reliable..
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure, maybe an Astra Twin Top, or the new Golf Cabrio, we'll wait & see what the new Mini Cabrio is like..

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£14,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought from a Ford Dealer, they had underpriced the Car, as they didn't seem to understand the "Pack" system, this has a Chile Pack, which is a £2,500 addition when new...
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My Wife has always wanted one, this one looked good value, had low mileage & a unique colour.
What was the dealer like?
Helpful, but didn't know much about the Car, which was understandable, not a criticism.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handling is fantastic, loves twisty country roads, ride is too hard though & steering fights with bad road surfaces, performance is poor, engine only comes to life at 4000 revs & has absolutely no torque whatsoever, gearbox is notchey, but the Wife loves it... I'll stick with my Freelander, thank you.
What's it like to park?
Easy, but only because of the rear parking sensors, rear visibility is better in most Trucks....

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes, perststant electrical faults, has unlocked itself, lowered it's hood, stuck it's brake lights on overnight, has lots & lots of rattles from the roof, has been through 2 pairs of fron tyres in just 15,000 miles & has a nasty crunch going into reverse, all of which, the BMW Dealer says are normal, for a car that cost almost 20 grand new.....
What's most practical about your car?
Nothing, that's not what it's meant for.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Rear parking sensors, as rear visibility is non existant, with the roof up or down.
