MINI Convertible 1.6 Cooper S 2d (2004/54) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Can't fault the resale values - this is the third Mini I've had, and I don't see many other cars with such good depreciation rates.
Costs
Insurance is a bit steep and the car's a bit thirsty, but then I didn't buy this because I wanted a cheap economical little run-around, so I'm not complaining.

On the road
Driving
My daily commute takes me on country and city roads - it loves the twisty back roads and it's nippy and cheeky in the city. And with the top down, 100 times more fun! What more could I ask for?
Performance
Might want to look at the JCW upgrade sometime for a bit more oooomph, but it does what I want it to .

Living with it
Reliability
As above
Image
Mini's got a great image - even more so in the convertible - small children jump up and down and shout ""MINI!"" (yes really). It's retro without being kitsch. Other people want one. So it can't be bad, can it?
Comfort
Sports seats are great with lumbar support, heated seats are a nice little luxury - I find the cabin spacious and well-designed.

Security and Service
Security
Never had any problems yet, don't want to tempt fate.
