MINI Cooper S (2006 - 2016) 1.6 Cooper S Countryman ALL4 5d Auto Owner Review

We have a 2019 Cooper S with the 2.0 BMW engine and gear box and it’s great. The Countryman has the 1.6 Peugeot engine and its rough, noisy and wheezy in comparison. The ride is unbelievably bad, Hit a small hole and the noise and vibration through the bodywork is substantial. The car tram lines and snatches the steering wheel out of your hands. I am planning to take the run flat tyres off and maybe go down to a 17 inch alloy to see if it helps. It’s a tiresome car to drive, after 30 mins you want to get out. The Infotainment system is fiddly with a hit and miss DAB radio. However, it is very practical, can carry 4 adults in relative comfort, has a reasonable sized boot for shopping etc and my wife thinks it’s cute.
