In their own words
First PHEV we have owned, we never set out for a massive electric driven range capability so the limited range - 15-19 miles on electric is fine for our local runs .[we have another car for longer runs]. As usual the range and MPG claimed is overly optimistic. The torquey acceleration is fun around town , and the little 3 pot ICE is a gutsy performer overall. Not sure if its specific to our car, but the windscreen wiper drags and screeches on the nearside despite a new set of blades and every glass cleaner being used . We charge the car at home over night, off asimple 3 pin mains supply . Every time we have attempted to use public charge points its been to difficult to fathom out connections/Apps/ Registrations high costs and direct debits . It remains a huge challenge to owning a single car electric car for us. The interior has pros and cons. The controls are all good infotainment good although CarPlay can be a s.d when two phones are in the car. The plastics , carpets and fabrics are bit cheap [always have been in Minis] and given this is a £35k car a bit of a let down. Likewise those Mini specific plastic wheel arch surrounds - horrible to keep smart as they seem to fade and loose their base black colour after each wash clean and polish. Car has been very reliable- no faults or recalls . Ride is just about OK overall but tends to struggle in low speed urban areas which considering the [highish] section of the tyres is disappointing.
