Value
Excellent value when considering the TLC package! BMW have loaded up the cost of having air-con.
Costs
Not too thirsty, and the car has a good insurance rating.

On the road
Driving
This car handles like a Mini!! This was one of Rover's strong points, and it shows. I just LOVE roundabouts!
Performance
Reasonable motorway performance, and the engine seems to get torquier after a few thousand miles. The steering is gorgeous as is the gearbox.

Living with it
Reliability
Severe electrical problems [still unsolved] with the interior lights, central locking, fuel guage, and temperature gauge. Paint delamination from the bonnet!
Image
This was one of the first Minis on the road. One time, I returned to the car after paying for petrol, only to find two attractive girls sat in the car admiring it! I've had lots of positive comments.
Comfort
Only have the sports seats. You'll fall off the others on roundabouts. The full leather is excellent.

Security and Service
Security
Good overall security. It's a nice touch that you can lock and unlock the car from over 150 yds away. On my old Renault you practically had to scratch the glass with the keys to unlock the car.
Service
Somewhat defensive response to build and paint problems, they'll spend time to explain that they've vacuumed and washed the car.
