Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I am at the same time someone who loves the almost ideal driving experience and someone who is interested in image. It depends on different peoples' views.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it and my nieces and nephew think I'm cool!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes because the revised MINI, which I have tested, has improved all the issues of the old one.
What are you likely to buy next?
However, I am more likely to buy a Citroen since they are cars of the heart for me. Especially now that they seem to be recapturing the magic of old as much as they can.

March 2005

Got a very good deal including a small discount (very rare with MINIs).

Superb purchasing experience from dealer, image, handling

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fantastic. You feel completely part of the car. The only downside is the harsh ride.
What's it like to park?
Not as easy as expected as it is wider than you first imagine but the overall size means you can get in most spaces.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only trouble has been the steering column started to click when turned more than half-way round. Replaced quickly and without any fuss under warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
The driving experience. You don'y buy a MINI for practicality in the sense meant here. If you buy one and then complain about its lack of practicality then you are more of a fashion victim than a savvy car buyer.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Automatic air-conditioning. Boy does it work well.
