MINI Hatchback (2001 - 2006) 1.6 One 3d (01) Owner Review

In their own words
As a first car the Mini is a great drive and a good starting point for any driver. Compared to a much younger Golf my instructor uses is not as good a drive as it.
The only complaint that i have of the car in general is that for the money they cost its hard to get one with modern amenities, such as full cd player and not cassette/cd auto changer, on a teenage budget.
On the positives the car does gain attention of most of my friends because of the style and reputation of the car. Compare to other cars of its age the car has help up well due to it being a little BMW. If you happen to be an age snob, its also an easy car to get because the styling changed so little for the majority of the cars life putting on a private plate will allow the illusion of a younger car. The car also has had to get some work done by the previous owners around the 10 year mark.
Overall the car has served well in the short time that its been owned. Its an easy car to drive as a learner, but also a small run around if you have a bigger car (my mom uses it once a week instead of her F-Pace).
How reliable do you find the car?
Since purchasing the car the only real problems we have had wit it is having to have the power steering pump replaced, a new air bag restraint and fixing a small water leak, all coming to under £1000 to fix.About their car
