What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

A lot of people my age group think im spoilt and have rich parents as they all drive cheaper small cars like Punto/Corsa. Other than that everyone does enjoy the car and find it very fun. My dad hates the Mini as he thinks its just a fashion statement and not practical but when he drives it he always smiles and enjoys the ride.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Hmm not to sure. The fuel economy is reallly bad and as a student im always spending money i shouldnt be on petrol. My brother constantly mocks me on this as i always have to full up, or when we go anywhere even on a small journey he points out how the petrol gauge has dropped.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would love a Cooper S but thats even worse fuel economy and the insurance is too high. I was looking at a Toyota Yaris Diesel. 70mpg small and fun so should be ok. But obviously not in the same league as the mini and no where as cool.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes. She knocked £700.00 of the price. She needed a quick sale as she had a baby and a new car and the mini was just sitting on her drive.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My sister had the cooper and i loved that. Also i needed a car to drive to university and didnt want a Corsa or Fiesta.

What was the dealer like?

What's it like to drive?

Soo fun. The best car i have driven, My parents have a brand new Focus which doesnt even compare to this. Best car ive driven by far. No other small car is as fun, or big car for that matter.

What's it like to park?

Easy. Steering is a little heavy tho for a small car which is annoying. But overall it is small so shouldnt cause too many problems unless your very weak.

Have you had any problems with the car?

YES! Caught fire in October due to engine failure and power stearing fault. BMW quickly took the car from us and fixed it and cleaned the whole thing. Didnt charge us a thing. But we found out some of the 01 One/Cooper/CooperS had electrical faults. Overall at least they fixed it and didnt charge a penny, but then again a car shouldnt catch fire.

What's most practical about your car?

Good in towns and city, easy to park. Relatively comfy and nippy.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Love the interior and the orange colour of the display very funky and kool. You always get other drivers looking into your car at traffic lights at the display and speedo.
