Economy
Value
Excellent economy on petrol. Good value for money, good solid little car. Great quality and made very well.
Costs
Can be overpriced so make sure you shop about. Good price from Blackpool mini. Problem is selling on costs as there are many about so you have to sell cheaply which is annoying if you've got finance.

On the road
Driving
The turning circle is massive! Good car to drive, very solid and sticks to road well. Goes happily at 85mph on the motorway. Visibility good.
Performance
Can be sluggish in first gear and sometimes it doesn't engage in reverse very well. Good for cornering, does well on motorways.

Living with it
Reliability
Never broken down in 3 years. No problems (apart from rattles!) Car is well made by BMW
Image
Look great little cars but they haven't got that image of the original mini. There are just too many about, they are not that eyecatching anymore. Best dress them up a bit to make them stand out.
Comfort
Good quality seats and interior. Make sure you get a glove box though! Worst thing for me is that it rattles- the dash, the handbrake, the console and it drives me mad. Sunroof is nice to have.

Security and Service
Security
Good remote locking, good sounding solid doors when you shut them. Boot can't be opened without ignition off and love the automatic locking of the doors at 10mph.
Service
Fantastic servicing from Dunedin, Selkirk. In and out in a jiffy. Car vacuumed and washed and even left in a tin of travel sweets! Got discs and door struts replaced under warranty as they had worn too quickly.
