MINI Hatchback (2006 - 2013) 1.6 (08/10 on) 3d Owner Review

I bought this as my second car, having had a Citroen to practise in and bought my mini after passing my test. I must say, I LOVE it! Whether this is because I had a 1.1l 58bhp car before, or because it is actually a good car, remains to be found out. I would recommend going for the cooper over the one, mainly because you can notice the little bit of extra power between them, but for a first car or for a new/young driver, a mini one is an excellent choice to help you get acquainted with the road. After owning for a month, I haven't had any problems. I did think the brakes weren't working very well, but that was mainly me being light-footed (new discs and pads were fitted just before I bought it, so the brakes are 100% fine). Motorway drives are a breeze, and nothing has gone wrong with her so far, fingers crossed.
