When we get picked up by the AA and transported home the mechanic always tells us about the Mini last week that had the same fault apparently our engine failure at 50k is common due to sheared oil pump. We are on our third alternator etc etc, just seems to be one problem after another however our other car (a Skoda) which is a similar age with a similar mileage just goes on and on with no fuss.
How reliable do you find the car?
Seems to be made from chocolate regular large bills alternators, engine failure at 50k etc etc will not be having another one
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Has the looks etc that my wife wants but has proven to be probably the most unreliable car we have run (including classics)
