Mitsubishi 3000 GT 2d (1993/K) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
All the toys, looks and performance for a reasonable price.
Costs
Eats fuel (about 18mpg). Dealers can charge extortionate amounts and just like other Insurance Group 20 cars, there are some expensive parts.

On the road
Driving
Sticks to corners and powers away on straights. 4WD, 4WS, switchable suspension modes make for a precise, if robotic, drive.
Performance
Up there with the Porsches. Twin Turbos ensure quick power delivery. Blisteringly fast, long ratio box and V6 engine make for big speeds.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Drive it hard and eventually it will break. Drive it in moderation and it shouldn't need anything more than normal servicing. Idle car a few moments before setting off and getting out. Turbo Timer!
Image
You will always get looked at. Get used to smiles from girls and slander from their boyfriends. Pretentious to the maximum, but it's YOURS.
Comfort
Leather interior. Driver's seat electric pack with side support and lumbar support. Can raise/lower the front and back of the seat cushion. You can't fail not to be comfy. Surprisingly fits 4 adults.

Security and Service
Security
Not high risk apparently. Mind you, any Policeman worth his salt is going to stop one of these if seen at night.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Slight tapping resolved by Oil and Slick 50.
Other
Check all electronic functions; active-aero front dam and rear spoiler, cruise control, ECS and 4WS.
