Mitsubishi 3000 GT 2d (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Excellent equipment level and performance for the money.
Costs
Replacement parts are very expensive and are very rarely stocked by main dealers.
-
On the road
Driving
Excellent grip for a big car, helped by every electronic braking and traction gismo there is of course. Back end can step out if you overdo the cornering, but is fairly easy to bring back into line.
Performance
Very quick, but prone to turbo lag at the bottom end of the rev range. Not as quick as some of its other Jap counterparts - Supra or RX7.

Living with it
Reliability
Should be fine if regularly maintained with no expense spared. However, my one was not and consequently repairs were frequent and expensive.
Image
You won't find many better looking cars on the road. You see one of these coming up in your rear view and you will want to move - quick!
Comfort
Makes for an excellent grand tourer on long trips. Don't bother with the back seats, though, unless your passengers are under 9 years old.

Security and Service
Security
Uprated alarm and immobiliser is recommended.
Service
The nearest main dealer was about 20 miles from me. They were not particularly knowledgeable about the car and never seemed to stock any of the parts I needed.
