Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not Joe Average. (Because they'd spend more and drive a Mondeo) A 'normal' but comfortable car for an independent thinker.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think its an ordinary car, but at a lower price.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, this is my second Carisma... It fulfils most things I need in a car (a/c, reliable, fits my 6'2" size, wife, 2 kids) and is economical. Oh, and its in the £125 a year tax group. I should have waited and bought one in Blue or Grey! (I bought the silver)
What are you likely to buy next?
A car I want, not a car I need... I'm considering a Jeep Patriot, a Nissan Navara or a Kia Sorento/Hyundai Santa Fe.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,600
When did you buy the car?
January 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got an OK deal. The Elegance has all the toys (except for remote locking) is relatively reliable and is comfy over long distances.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought the Carisma as it was a value for money, economical family car that would be able to be run on the minuscule mileage allowance given by my employer. Oh, and its my second Carisma so I knew what I was buying...
What was the dealer like?
Although not sourced through a dealer I have used Mitsi Art (Independent Mitsubishi service) in Portsmouth for a couple of specialist services and they are the biz! I can't recommend them enough!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's no Alfa 159 but neither is the price tag! Its an average car that is pleasing to drive.
What's it like to park?
No surprises, it parks just the same as most other cars in its class. Visibility out the rear window is just fine!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Turbo seals blew at 64000 miles. A legacy to the previous owner that never wanted to service the car! Otherwise it is now proving reliable. (I travel the UK on business and am not an AA member...)
What's most practical about your car?
Everything - its economical (40 to 48mpg) and easy to drive. Comfy (with wipe-clean leather seats) and will relax cruising on the motorway for hours.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Aircon, leather and especially the Cruise Control.
