Three-star Euro NCAP test result is poor compared to modern rivals. ABS and twin airbags are standard on all models. So too is immobiliser but there’s no alarm. It does, however, have locking rear seats to prevent access to the cabin from the boot. Not attractive to thieves, anyway.

The load area is not especially impressive, but it’s up to the needs of the modern family. The seats split and fold, for extra space. Rear seats will accommodate two adults at a push, but there is limited head and legroom.
