Mitsubishi Colt CZC (2006 - 2009) 1.5 2d Owner Review

This is the 2nd one I've owned, so 10 years of them. A fantastic car to drive, comfortable & fun. Loads of features. My advice is use the roof often as they can stop working. I've never had that problem as I use mine all the time even in the cold as the heater is excellent. They're also rare so you're being unusual, and I've only ever seen 2 others in ten years.

The rear seats are useless if you're a male driver. You can get 3 in if the front passenger moves their seat as forward as it will go, but the rear seats become great luggage space when the roof is down.

Im a huge fan of the car. Its got temperature control, air con, a great 4 speaker CD Radio, with added bass and treble and balance controls. A nifty computer read out in either LCD or LED display that tells you the temp outside, the time, what FM Radio station yourevon, or the name and track of the CD. Also has a few mileage features, which I keep the mpg I'm doing and can average 43 mpg most of the time. Idling in traffic and you'll see it go down.

My advice is to get a sun screen for when you park in, as the computer display can go wrong from heat damage from the sun as its close to the top of the dash, and the sun will also fade the seats, so it's worth it.

I was lucky to find this second one as it had only done 17,500 miles in its 17 year life, so its like a new car. It had been garaged the last 12 years. Its a year older than my other one but it’s chain driven not belt so a better engine. It's also got more interior bits and the back seat cushions go to the floor, my other one didn't.

I have the straight 1.5 engine and it’s more than quick enough against most cars, as its a big engine for a small car. If you can find a good one then get it as its fab to drive and looks great. Cheap to MOT and service and very reliable and still looks good 18 years on.
