Mitsubishi Colt 1.6 Mirage 3d (96) (1999/T) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Heavy depreciation makes a second-hand bargin.
Costs
Low insurance and 35mpg (driven hard).
-
On the road
Driving
Great steering feel, but leans too much and standard tyres and 13" alloys mean low grip.
Performance
Hard to believe that this only has 89bhp. Smooth and torquey.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No major faults to date, but has rattly cabin and awkward 1st and 2nd gear change.
Image
With the mirages, spoilers and skirts, it look quite sporty. Terrible alloys, though.
Comfort
Engine noise is low, but tyre noise high. Suspension springs are too tough and bumps are sent straight into to the cabin, but yet the car still leans too much for a sporty ride. Seats are comfy.

Security and Service
Security
Engine immobiliser and that's it.
Service
Stupid service prices from main dealer. Seek good local garage for huge cost savings.
