Mitsubishi Galant Coupe 2.0 V6 24V 5d Auto (1996/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very reasonable second-hand prices for equipment level, build quality, performance, etc...
Costs
Some parts (exhaust system, wheel bearings) are extremely expensive for a car of this age/value. Other parts are quite reasonable. BE WARNED - 54k-mile service is very expensive. Trouble-free motoring, though.

On the road
Driving
If you want to drive this car on winding roads at high speeds, then don't bother buying one. All other driving (especially motorway cruising) is a dream.
Performance
Good responsive performance from a 2-litre engine. Effortless high speed cruising. Handling a little spongy.

Living with it
Reliability
New exhaust at 50k miles. New rear wheel bearing at 52k. Expensive.
Image
Rather bland image. The nose on the 24v V6 looks pretty cool, though.
Comfort
Bum can get stiff when driving over 200 miles on motorway, but I am a fat bloke.

Security and Service
Security
Came with decent alarm system and immobiliser.
Service
Only used manufacturer for safety recalls. Couldn't fault them.
