Mitsubishi Galant Estate 2.0 GLX 5d (2000/W) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value second hand, let someone else take the sting of depreciation. Only cost £5.5k for a 2 year old with 94k on the clock.
Costs
Insurance high (out of sync with other similar cars). Servicing not cheap due to low interval 9000 miles and pricy parts.

On the road
Driving
Easy to drive but with a notchy gearbox. Goes in to understeer mode quickly but predictably.
Performance
Good performance accelerating. ABS kick in surprisingly quickly.

Living with it
Reliability
I'd hoped it would last for ever but it was cheaper for me to get rid of it after 18 months and 30k miles rather than repair when the big end went.
Image
I loved the look of the estate but I shouldn't have judged the book by its cover.
Comfort
Relaxed cruising. Good seats. Quiet engine although high road noise.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm would go off without warning, especially in summer nights. Ended up locking the car without arming the alarm!!
Service
Non franchised service didn't always inspire.

Engine
