Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I do a little more research than most before buying my car and don't just get what everyone else has.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think its excellent, my parents in particular really like the car - good to drive and very practical.
Would you buy this car again and why?
From a pure quality point of view - definitely. Its a league above most cars in terms of quality - look at Ford Galaxies, VW Sharans, Renault Espaces etc. they have very low rent interiors with cheap plastic in comparison to the Mitsubishi. I wouldn't actually buy another one as I rarely buy the same car twice but this has nothing to do with this particular car as its excellent.
What are you likely to buy next?
Don't know yet.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It drives very well for a people carrier/estate type vehicle. I am a fully trained mechanic and I have driven hundreds of cars, its far less intimidating to drive than say a Galaxy or an Espace. The engine is excellent, it will pull the car along at low revs but like most Japanese variable valve timing engines it needs to be worked hard to get the most out of it, but it goes really well when you push it. Handling is reasonable, steering is light - not the most feel-some but this is no sports car. My only real complaint with the car is that the suspension is a little firm for the bodies strength. This gives no problems with ride and comfort as it is actually very comfortable it just been you can get some 'scuttle shake' around bumpy corners, this is a feature of the car however having driv
What's it like to park?
As easy as any estate car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No. The car has been incredibly reliable - nothing has failed and everything works absolutely perfectly. We have carefully serviced out car and had the timing belt replaced. The engine has a variant of the block fitted to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 4-9 so you would expect it to be tough - naturally though it has a different cylinder head and the capacity is slightly greater at 2.4L rather than the Evo's 2.0. Car is very well put together to the usual Japanese clinical standard.
What's most practical about your car?
Its got a huge amount of load space, even with the back seats (seats 6&7) up there is enough room for a buggy and a weeks shopping. It's been amazing for trips to the Isle of Wight!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
