Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Evo IX (2005-2008) interior, tech and comfort
As before there’s a great Momo sports steering wheel and Recaro seats, giving the driver a first class interface with the car. There are now alloy pedals to dance upon too. The rest of the interior is best described as functional with a cheap looking finish and bland design, although you probably won’t notice until you get to the first traffic jam. The view out is good and clear in all directions, but there’s a huge spoiler splitting the image in your rear view mirror.
It will seat five adults at a push but passengers will quickly find the experience verging on the unpleasant. It has been made slightly more refined in terms of sound proofing but even when driven gently the ride, although slightly improved, is very firm and jars on all but the smoothest surfaces. The driver won’t notice any of this being too absorbed in the driving experience.
