Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I like a bargain.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it and are very impressed by the specifications for the price I paid.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would buy a lancer again, although because it is outdated, not this model. This is my second mitsubishi, and I am a convert!
What are you likely to buy next?
A lancer, if it is as much of a bargain!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. I was offered £2500 p/x for an 8 year old space star with 75,000 miles on the clock.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My previous car was a Mitsubishi Space Star. I saw this at a local dealer and when I enquired I was impressed by the part exhange deal I was offered the my old car against this 3 year old Lancer.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly and helpful.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It corners extremely well and is happy cruising on the motorway as you would expect of a small family saloon.
What's it like to park?
Rear visibility is poor if you have the bonus third passenger headrest in place. As I rarely carry more than one passenger, I keep it in the boot mostly. The unnecessary spoiler hinders rearward visibility somewhat.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing major. A couple of squeaky panels provide intermittent annoyance.
What's most practical about your car?
A cavernous saloon boot, which, although not my preferred body style has not proved a hinderance. I can get a 3 metre inflatable boat and outboard in the boot!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Front Foglights, air con and alloys are a suprise on car of this price.
