Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback (2008 - 2011) 1.8 GS2 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Positives: - Brilliant car considering I paid under £3,000 for used car with ~36,000miles. - The boot space is very good and the hatch opens far away up - my kids love that, which allows them to sit at the back of the car at picnic spots. - Returns 34mpg on semi-urban driving, between 38-40mpg on motorways - Cruise control (I wasn't expecting for the price that I paid) - More than sufficient interior space for a young family - Quite a few gadgets.
Not so positives: - Slightly higher tax and insurance considering it's 1.8 litre petrol engine. - Non-mechanical parts are difficult to get hands on - Need to be good driver to start on slightly more inclined slope, torque kicks at much higher RPMs - Gears, generally are good, but may give trouble engaging, specifically, reverse and 3rd gear.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I generally cycle to work, which isn't appealing in Cold/ Wet and Windy weather. I was looking for a car young at mileage, low on initial cost and if required, can still do the school run. This car fit the bill every bit.About their car
