Mitsubishi Outlander Estate (2004-2007) boot space, practicality and safety
Looking for a different model?
(change model)
No Euro NCAP crash test rating yet, but all Outlanders have ABS, twin front and side airbags and side-impact protection. There’s an alarm, locking wheel nuts and remote central locking for security. You can fit a tracker-style device as an option.
Loads of legroom in the back, and the width of the car means it’s comfortable for three. Although the roof is lower than a traditional 4x4, there’s adequate headroom. Boot space isn’t great. The loading sill is high off the ground and it’s restricted inside because of the suspension set-up. However, the rear seats do fold down, although not flat and they do not tumble.
Large glovebox and a cubby hole in the central console.
