Mitsubishi Space Star 1.6 Equippe 5d (2003/52) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Average. Mitsubishi depreciation can make your toes go cold!
Costs
Servicing quite expensive, once you get past the first free ones. £110 for a set of brake pads (it has discs all round) is a bit heavy for a car of this class.

Driving
Can be quick, but gets a bit pedestrian if you turn your back on it. Not a boy racer's first choice though.
Performance
Not particularly juicy, but I wouldn't make any big claims for its economy. Fair overall.

Living with it
Reliability
Mitsubishi are excellent. No problems, apart from gearbox grating. I was told this was a Renault box, so no surprises there!
Image
I've tried to love it, really. But it has done little for my street cred. and its rather blunt looks asssault the senses rather.
Comfort
Contrary to reviews, I found the seats hard! A drive of 150 miles left me with a corn plaster requirement. Hits the potholes well, though, and interior noise, road noise excepted, not too bad.

Security and Service
Security
Think its all right. Would anyone want to pinch it? Please?
Service
Service is very good, with a particularly good local garage to deal with. But you pay heavily for the service - too much for this class of car.
