Mitsubishi Space Star (1999 - 2005) 1.6 Equippe 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Extremely well made compared to many almost built like a tank . Bulletproof engine that pulls from 1500rpm in top gear! Not a fast car but will cruise all day at motorway speeds returning min of 38mpg+ very large capacity for luggage etc with seats down ideal for tradesmen . Brakes are outstanding all disc best i have ever used . The engine is extremely easy like rest of car to work on . Plenty room around all components . Conclusion you wont get better i rate the 1.6 five star (retired motor engineer)
How reliable do you find the car?
Very few repairs required certainly nothing much of note a faulty seatbelt that jammed and headlamp that misted up.easily solved by drilling small 8mm hole in casing to allow air circulation (i'm told a problem on these cars by some )Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Its a large car and with the rear seats down holds a great deal more than many others . Ideal for tradesmen it cruises on motorways at 70mph quiet and very comfortable no wind noise whilst returning 38mpg+ the engine is also extremely good at all speeds and very happy in towns pulling from as little as 1500 rpm with ease . Only little niggle is the gearbox which takes a while to learn its no quick change and a little almost agricultural by modern day standards particulary 1st gear. Otherwise a great car built like a tank and very easy to work on!About their car
