Nissan 100 NX 1.6 Targa 3d (1992/K) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Parker's review was very harsh. This is an excellent little car.
Costs
Expensive to insure initially, now getting better. Cheap to run!

On the road
Driving
Quick and well composed; corners nicely; not for over 100mph, though.
Performance
Excellent torque and acceleration for the engine size, especially compared to latest 'sports' Megane and such. Not a 'true' sportscar, though - I have driven the Supra/300ZX/MX6...

Living with it
Reliability
Mine is 11 years old and runs like a swiss clock. Lower emissions than brand new cars! Service it often if you want it to last - 5,000 miles minor, 10,000 major.
Image
Again, Parker's review is disappointing; mine came with the little 'speed boat' top spoiler and it looks like descended from a Japanese animation. Love the T-top - practical and very well designed.
Comfort
Nice, supportive front seats and more legroom than a Celica; obviously the back seats are very cramped, but what did you expect? Although, I had three people in the back on two occasions and they survived :)

Security and Service
Security
None by default - mine got an after-market alarm and imobiliser. Better put on a steering lock!
Service
Haven't used the Nissan dealer. They also sell BMWs and don't care about Nissans.
