Nissan 200 SX 1.8 3d (1992/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Brilliant performance for money.
Costs
Cheap to buy, can be cheap to maintain if you use breakers.

On the road
Driving
Once u can control a turbocharged rear wheel drive beast, you will love driving sideways.
Performance
Fast acceleration, and top speed. Boost kicks in at 2500 revs and goes all the way up to about 6500rpm. Upping the boost can provide even more fun for hardly any money.

Living with it
Reliability
Depends on how you look after it. My turbo and big end failed shortly after buying it. Replaced with Jap import engine - since then no probs at all!
Image
Car gets loads of looks, especially once the rusty rear spoiler is replaced with a more useful and attractive item.
Comfort
Does the job, just.

Security and Service
Security
Needs Thatcham Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser fitted for insurance to be nice to you.
Service
Don't use Nissan - rip off. Try specialists, such as www.norrisdesigns.com - excellent service and cheaper than Nissan for standard parts!
