Nissan 200 SX 2.0 Standard 2d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Lots of power and looks (in my opinion) for the money, although if you get a bad one look out!
Costs
High insurance, high consumption (25-30mpg) and parts from dealer are astronomical. Servicing is not too bad (find a local garage to do it) - phone around for parts and you can save a lot.

On the road
Driving
Excellent fun, especially in the wet. Gearchange is a bit notchy, but steering is very direct and tailsliding is easy to control.
Performance
For the money, not much can touch it. Acceleration in 3rd puts a smile on your face; very fast top end.

Living with it
Reliability
Lots of small problems and the build quality isn't great, about average.
Image
Understated and classy, although some people think it's a Skyline.
Comfort
Good seats, but the ride is a bit harsh on bumpy roads. Good pedal and steering wheel position.

Security and Service
Security
Not been tested yet, but I hear the locks are a bit weak.
Service
The main dealer is polite and friendly, but not very efficient for what you pay.
