Economy
Value
One of the best-kept performance secrets (hugely popular as a drift car in Japan though, hence not many 'grey' imports).
Costs
Very reasonable for a fairly specialised turbo car.

On the road
Driving
Excellent handling. Steering a little too on the light side, not enough feedback. Wet roundabout powerslides on demand though! LSD a very welcome standard feature.
Performance
Very little noticeable lag, refined and smooth engine. Gearbox ratios too widely spaced (140 in 4th!) Not quite 150mph performance though, close but no banana!

Living with it
Reliability
Super reliable engine (chain driven cams). Gearbox a bit juddery with age and cold weather - common fault, does not affect performance though.
Image
Only 'cool' to those who know! A bit understated, remains fairly exclusive is the upside of this though, facelift welcome improvement.
Comfort
Very relaxed motorway cruiser, supple and surprisingly compliant ride.

Security and Service
Security
Standard Thatcham-approved alarm/immobiliser. Twin airbags on touring model.
Service
Very friendly aftersales service.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
None - super reliable.
Other
Regular oil changes a must as turbo life dramatically decreases if not carried out!
