Nissan 200 SX 2.0 Touring 2d (1997/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
There are some good examples still to be found with decent mileage for not a lot of money.
Costs
Not cheap to service and parts are expensive from main dealer, i.e. £150 for a headlight, as you can't just buy the glass! Thirsty if driven hard, but aren't all cars?

On the road
Driving
Great handling and lots of sideways on tap, if you're that way inclined, but beware, it will catch you out when you least expect it! Great in the outside lane of the motorway, very aggressive looking front end on the S14A and people do move over for you!
Performance
Nothing will catch it for the money, 200bhp, 150mph, rear wheel drive, enough said!

Living with it
Reliability
I blew turbo gaskets when i first got it, most probably had a sunday driver before me! Since then no probs, bullet proof springs to mind, touch wood again!
Image
I've debagged mine, lots of people dont know what it is or they think its a Skyline which is not a bad thing. Not many around so it does turn heads, as long as they dont see the back, as its ugly!
Comfort
Quite a firm ride but comfy on long motorway journeys. I've done the M6 top to bottom on many occasions in it, and no back ache!
