Nissan 350Z Coupe (2003-2010) running costs and reliability
Miles per pound (mpp)
Fuel economy
Nissan servicing is good value so the 350Z needn’t be an expensive car to run, although maintenance intervals of 9,000 miles mean you could have regular visits to your dealer if you’re a high mileage driver. Cosmetic changes for the 2006 models are minimal but the interior is much better. Not surprisingly, insurance is group 20 and it will only return 24mpg at best.
The 350Z is a polluting model with CO2 emissions around 280g/km. Unlike some two seaters, such as the Audi TT, there is no diesel engine available. The V6 is thirsty too, averaging 24mpg.
Nissan has a fine reputation for mechanical reliability and we’ve heard of no major issues with the 350Z. It’s never been subject to a recall and is unlikely to let you down, as long as you keep to the service schedule.
