What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I suspect that many people don't really know what it is. Petrol-heads like it though.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,600
When did you buy the car?
June 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I negotiated the price down to my target figure including delivery to Glasgow, but am sure they still made a good profit.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I had recently sold my 2002 Porsche 911 after growing tired of 4 years of expensive repairs, and wanted something with most of its fun but less of the costs.
What was the dealer like?
Bought the car from Junction 17 Cars in Peterborough. It had not yet been prepped for sale but the salesman made a note of all the points needing attention and agreed that they would attend to them before delivery. Unfortunately they didn't do most of what they promised, and also delivered the car with the wrong battery, unsecured - an MOT failure. Since then they have not taken phone calls, ignored email, and ignored 2 recorded delivery letters. Their after sales service has been non existent. If you are considering buying a car from them please look for my review on a 350Z forum by searching for Junction 17 Good Bad Ugly.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I love the acceleration from 3000 rpm onwards. Unlike my previous 911, it's a car that is fun to drive at low speeds. Handling is great - always feels that one could take a corner much tighter which is very reassuring. Brakes are excellent. It's definitely fun to drive - I'd recommend it.
What's it like to park?
Rear visibility isn't great but parking sensors help. But it's not a huge car so parking is not a problem.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The tear on the roof that the dealer agreed to repair but didn't has got worse. It will need a new roof at some point. CD autochanger jammed and was repaired/replaced by local auto electrician Roof only goes 95% down in cold weather - a known problem I believe. Apart from that, it has been fine.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot is OK for 2 small bags or a load of shopping. Car is a great mixture of sports car and daily driver car. Mine was registered early in 2006, so the tax is about £290 pa. Later cars can be £490 pa.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The Engine! Also, heated seats are great in a roadster.
